The Mining Company “Koksu”

The company was founded in June 2002. It holds a contract with the Government of Kazakhstan for exploration and development of the Koksu shungite deposit being the only company in Kazakhstan involved in the business of processing shungite ore and producing of Taurit products.

Production capacity

The processing plant is located on the outskirts of Rudnichny village. It was build upon the former subdivision factory of Tekeli Polymetallic Combine. The total production capacity of its crushing facilities can go up to 1 mln tons per year with fragmentation size of -35 + 0 mm. The production capacity of the enrichment facilities - up to 400'000 tons of primary ore per year and up to 40'000 tons of shungite flotation concentrate per year. The existing production process allows a flexible technology to manufacture products with special and individual features at the customer’s request. The production complex of “Koksu” Mining Company includes: special-purpose machinery for exploration and mining, stockyard, crusher house, grinders with classifiers, flotation shop, thickening and filtration shop, disintegration and drying shop, storage facilities, product packaging line, administrative building, laboratory, technical control service, maintenance facilities with metalworking machines, explosives depot. There are two dead-end railway tracks with warehouses.
